Mermaid Beach is a quiet, tree-lined coastal neighbourhood between Broadbeach and Miami Beach — no high-rises, just wide streets, mature gardens, and a laid-back village feel where locals outnumber tourists. The food scene is incredible for a residential suburb. Within walking distance: BSKT and Bam Bam Bakehouse for brunch, Etsu Izakaya for Japanese, Le Cafe Gourmand for French pastries, and the Mermaid Beach Surf Club for sunset drinks with ocean views.
